First and Foremost:

Search on the model number and / or manufacturer of your network product, then put the word security right after it.

Go to the Sites and Read all documents related to setting up security on your device. When you have setup basic security come on back and learn to do some cool stuff. Network Security is your responsibility for your own network. If you don't do it someone will abuse it.

Originally all Howto, config, setups, and supporting documentation was researched and recompiled so we could find working solutions for our particular environment. We primarily run and develop on FreeBSD 7.2, 6.4 and Mac OS X 10.6 Clients and servers. We generally run Cisco routers, switches, and Juniper for a firewall. From this point on we'll include links or copies to resources we've drawn from. We'll always make a concerted effort to give credit where credit is due but most the time we're on our own.
